Early Out at Trails Regional

6th through 8th grade

November 1, 2017

If you’ve noticed an influx of “Early Out” programs at your library, it’s for good reason! School districts in Johnson and Lafayette Counties have begun monthly, and sometimes weekly, early release days for students. Our branches are excited to welcome Pre-Teens and Teens during these early outs with programming that will let them stay engaged while providing entertainment and leisure in a safe space.

The Corder Branch will offer an Early Out Hang Out for the school district's Wednesday early releases on November 1, November 8, November 15, and November 29 at 3:00 p.m. Hang out and explore maps and navigation, clocks, technology, and more! A snack will also be provided. Contact the library for more information at 660-394-2565.

The Knob Noster Branch is excited to offer a new early out program and is anxious to know what you think would make it fun! Join them for a Figure-It-Out Early Out on Wednesday, November 8 at 3:00 p.m. We'll make no-bake Thanksgiving bars, play games, and figure out what to do for December!

The Warrensburg Branch will feature an Early Out Hang Out for the district’s Wednesday early releases on November 1, November 8, November 15, and November 29 at 1:00 p.m. 6th-8th graders are invited to attend. This program features different video game systems, including the new Nintendo Switch, virtual reality, and crafts each week. Contact the library at 660-747-9177 for more information.

The Waverly Branch will have an Emoji Early Out on Friday, November 10 at 1:00p.m. Children, Pre-Teens, and Teens are invited to hang out at the library and make their own emoji craft! Contact the library at 660-493-2987 for more information.

While the library always welcomes students after school and on weekends, we are excited to offer our exciting video games, activities, and a fun place for students to hang out during these planned school closures.
